Hotel in a 12th-century monastery in Tórtoles de Esgueva

A Posada Real inside the Monastery of Santa María la Real, founded in 1194 and fully restored as a hotel, within a walled compound in Tórtoles de Esgueva (Burgos).

2,800 m² built over three floors with a lift, on more than 6,000 m² of land. 27 spacious, bright en-suite double rooms overlooking the village, the old orchard or the cloister; some with a whirlpool bath. The Chapter House holds the café and lounge, the former refectory is the restaurant, opening onto the terrace, and the church and Founders' Chapel are used for exhibitions, concerts and events. The church choir is now a library.

Outside, a 1,750 m² garden terrace in the old orchard and private parking for 20 cars. For a further €1,200,000, annexes within the compound can be acquired: a running care home, a carpentry workshop and other buildings.
